General Questions 1. How long do my documents last? All of our products are intended to last forever. However, some couples prefer to treat them as temporary certificates. In either case, our products last as long as you want them too. They can be modified or terminated at any time with mutual consent of both partners. 2. Are there any additional fees we need to know about? There are no additional fees of any kind with Partner Medical Rights™ or the Partner Financial Rights™. However, the Domestic Partnership Marriage Agreement™ has an annual fee of two hundred and twenty five dollars. The fees due are collected by the state of Delaware and must be paid annually. You have the option to pay the state directly or have Family LLC process it for you. We can bill your credit card annually if requested. The first year’s fee is included in the purchase price. If you decide not to pay the fees, the DPMA™ will cease after one year. 3. What if we move? We understand that people do not stay in the same place forever and we have designed our products accordingly. Your documents will still be valid if you decide to move. State laws vary, so be sure to contact us so we can update your documentation if necessary. 4. What if our relationship dissolves? We understand that things don’t always work out, so Family LLC offers a 50% refund for couples that part ways within four months of their purchase. In order to obtain the refund you must show us proof of your decision to part ways. Family LLC reserves the right to approve these refunds at their discretion and make determinations on a case-by-case basis. 5. What do I do after I receive my documents? Your documents are not valid until you complete the final steps. DO NOT SIGN THE DOCUMENTS WHEN YOU FIRST RECEIVE THEM. Either go to a notary public or be in the presence of 2 witnesses when you sign the documents. Notary publics can be found at your local bank, and occasionally at your local supermarket, corner store or even realtor. If you choose to have witnesses, they must sign the documents as well and add their contact information so they can be reached if need be. Next, if you choose to have Family LLC hold a secure copy for safekeeping, we will do that free of charge. When you receive your package, you’ll receive a set of detailed instructions explaining how to get started, or you can call us for more information. 6. Are your documents legal? Yes, and recognized in every state. 7 . Do you share my information? Family LLC has a strict privacy policy. All of your personal information is kept in strict confidence and is not shared with non-affiliated third parties for any reason. We only use your information to provide you with our service. |
